한옥의 공간(空間)은 비움의 개념에서 시작하여 내부와 외부, 내부와 내부, 외부와 외부 공간의 확장, 소통, 중첩 등의 현상이 나타나는데 이것이 창이 만드는 조형의 본질적인 요소이다.

한옥의 창은 공간의 가변성을 만드는 요소로 무형과 유형의 공간을 형성하고 공존과 소통의 의미를 지닌다. 창의 개방과 중첩으로 공간의 형태와 쓰임이 확장되고 외부와 내부의 교차점으로 공간에 자연의 유입을 가능하게 한다. 한옥의 창(窓)은 수평과 수직의 기하학적 형태의 선과 면의 비례미와 창살의 짜임이 만드는 구조미의 조형성을 나타내는데 이것은 빛에 의해 중첩, 투영, 그림자를 형성하여 가변적인 조형미가 표출된다.

한옥은 한국의 정체성과 한국의 정서가 내재된 공간으로 21세기 소통의 공간으로 주목받고 있는데 공간의 구조와 형태를 결정하는 매체로 창은 중요한 가치가 있다. 공간의 가변성을 이끌어 획일적인 공간의 역할을 확장하고 개인의 욕구가 반영된 공간디자인을 가능하게 한다. 현대적으로 재해석한 다양한 전통적인 창들이 오늘날의 공간에서 사용되고 기능과 조형의 요소로 주목받고 있다.

 

전시 작품은 수평과 수직의 미니멀(Minimal)한 한옥의 창이 만드는 기하학적 형태의 추상성과 창이 만드는 공간적 개념과 창이 만드는 조형의 요소를 반영하여 한국의 정체성을 표현하고자 했다.

빛이 창을 통해 공간에 유입되면 창을 통해 들어온 빛은 빛의 공간을 만들어 새로운 공간 조형이 나타난다. 창은 물질의 개념과 함께 빛이라는 비 물질성의 매체를 통해 다양한 공간을 연출한다. 빛은 창과 공간에 가변적인 색을 부여하고 창살의 구성요소인 규칙적으로 반복된 작은 조각들은 빛과 색에 의해 변화가 시작된다. 빛과 색은 작품의 중요한 개념으로 빛은 색과 공간을 창출하고 가변성과 추상성을 조형하는 매체로서 중요한 역할을 한다.

선과 면으로 반복된 창은 중첩, 투영, 빛과 색, 그림자, 틈 등이 나타나 나누기와 겹치기의 효과와 창의 움직임이 만드는 동적인 공간 표현을 가능하게 할 것이다.

빛과 색은 예술적, 조형적 매체이다. 오늘날 현대 미술의 빛은 관객과의 소통을 유도하여 경험적이고 가변적인 추상적 공간을 체험하게 한다.

이번 전시를 통해 관객과의 소통, 체험이 가능하고 추상적 공간을 내재한 새로운 공간 개념의 아트퍼니처를 제안하고자 한다.

다양해진 개성 표현을 원하는 관객들을 위한 모듈 개념의 가구로 수공예의 예술적 가치를 반영한 아트퍼니처와 대중의 커스터마이제이션(Customization)이 공존하는 가구이며 인터렉션(Interaction)이 가능한 가구이다. 빛은 색에 다양성을 부여한다. 반사에 의해 시각적으로 인지되는 빛은 물성에 따라 흡수, 투과, 투영 등의 현상이 일어난다.

공간의 유기적인 동선에 의해 다양성을 제공하는 가구의 조형적 기능과 함께 한옥의 창과 빛과 색의 개념을 결합한 새로운 예술적, 시대적 가치를 담아내는 아트퍼니처이다.

 

  

The space of Hanok begins with the concept of emptiness, and phenomena such as expansion, communication, and overlap of inside and outside, inside and inside, and outside and outside space appear, which are essential elements of the formative shape created by the window.

Hanok windows are an element that creates spatial variability, forming intangible and tangible spaces and carrying the meaning of coexistence and communication. The form and use of space is expanded by opening and overlapping windows, and is the intersection of the exterior and interior.

This allows the introduction of nature into the space. The window of a hanok represents the formativeness of the structural beauty created by the proportional beauty of horizontal and vertical geometric lines and surfaces and the texture of the bars. This expresses variable formative beauty by overlapping, projecting, and forming shadows with light.

Hanok is a space where Korean identity and Korean emotions are embedded, and is attracting attention as a space for communication in the 21st century. It is a medium that determines the structure and form of space.

Windows are of great value. It expands the role of uniform space by leading to the variability of space and enables space design that reflects individual desires. A variety of traditional windows reinterpreted in a modern way are used in today's spaces and are attracting attention as functional and formative elements.

The works on display include the abstraction of geometric forms created by horizontal and vertical minimalist windows of a hanok, the spatial concept created by the windows, and the formative elements created by the windows.

We attempted to express Korean identity by reflecting these elements.

When light enters a space through a window, the light entering through the window creates a space of light and a new spatial form appears. The window is a place where light comes together with the concept of material.

Various spaces are created through the medium of immateriality. Light gives variable colors to windows and spaces, and the regularly repeated small pieces that make up the bars begin to change due to light and color. Light and color are important concepts in the work, and light plays an important role as a medium that creates color and space and creates variability and abstraction.

A window with repeated lines and surfaces displays overlap, projection, light and color, shadows, gaps, etc., creating the effect of division and overlap.

It will enable dynamic spatial expression created by the movement of the window.

Light and color are artistic and formative media. Today, the light of modern art induces communication with the audience and creates an experiential experience.

It allows one to experience a variable abstract space.

This exhibition allows communication and experience with the audience.

I would like to propose art furniture with a new spatial concept that incorporates abstract space.
